A Few Tips On Writing A Top Resume

When it comes to writing up a resume that is going to grab the attention of the reader and help you to secure an interview, you don’t have to worry about spending hundreds of dollars paying for resume writing services in Singapore. All you really need to do is follow some simple tips and copy tried and tested methods. Here are some tips on how to write up a decent resume.

It is very important that you try to keep the entire piece as simple as you can. This means sticking to only one or two font sizes throughout. By mixing it up too much you are only going to draw negative attention towards it. Instead, try to focus on highlighting phrases and words by using capped letters, bolds, and italics.

It is important that you consider the right lingo to use. This means doing some research and working out what words and phrases will garner the best possible reaction. For example, saying a phrase such as ‘ references available upon request ‘ is no longer necessary. This is assumed and as such you are only going to waste time by adding it in. Try to avoid words like duties, responsibilities, and objectives as well.

Of course, you will certainly need to highlight any accomplishments that you have. You should certainly make these relevant to previous roles and to the market you are trying to break into. Even if your accomplishments are very basic, jazz them up as much as possible to make them sound important.

Try to start off any statement with a powerful verb. Such words as orchestrate, collaborate, generate, spearhead, revamp, facilitate, and many others will make the reader sit up and take notice.

Finally, make sure that you proof read the entire resume once you have completed it. There is nothing worse than sending it off with a bunch of typos or grammar errors. Make sure these are ironed out before your application goes through.
