In what UPS (NYSE: UPS  ) CEO Scott Davis calls "a win-win-win for our people, customers, and shareholders," the company has reached a "tentative agreement" with nearly 250,000 Teamsters Union employees on two five-year contracts. The first deal addresses union employees in UPS' packaging unit; the other agreement impacts freight employees, the sides recently announced.

Top 10 Stocks To Buy Right Now: Endeavour Silver Corporation(EXK)

Endeavour Silver Corp., a mid-cap silver mining company, focuses on the growth of its silver production, reserves, and resources in Mexico and Chile. It principally holds interests in two producing silver mines in Mexico, including the Guanacevi mine, located in Durango State; and the Guanajuato mine located in Guanajuato State. Advisors' Opinion:
  • [By Christopher Barker]

Fools who endeavored to participate in this tremendous growth story following my August 2010 interview with CEO Bradford Cooke have seen Endeavour's share price promptly quadruple to reach a 2011 peak of $13.10. My recent tour of Endeavour's expanding Guanajuato mine complex confirmed for me just how well-deserved that glistening performance has been. And now that a substantial retracement in the sector has driven Endeavour back into the $10 range, I see a timely opportunity for investors to embark on Endeavour's continuing journey of well-executed growth.

With a major expansion of its plant capacity in Guanajuato (to 1,600 tpd) completed during 2011, Endeavour is beautifully positioned to capitalize on steady output expansion from the growing array of near-surface vein structures surrounding the plant. Recent confirmation of high-grade silver and gold mineralization within the vein structures of La Joya and Belen have the company touting "a substantial increase in reserves and resources at Guanajuato" for early 2012, and offer a near-term roadmap for matching production to the expanded plant capacity.

I consider Endeavour's San Sebastian, Parral, and La Brisa exploration projects very promising elements of the company's project pipeline, but I urge Fools to pay particular attention to the recently acquired target for bulk-mineable silver and gold in Chile called Lomas Bayas. With a 10,000-meter drill program already under way, I expect successful assays from that project to provide additional stock catalysts during 2012. I consider Endeavour's management the best in the business, and I recommend the stock as a long-term silver holding without reservation.

Advisors' Opinion:
  • [By Jeanine Poggi]

Amazon's (AMZN_) sales and margins are in focus, as both measures fell short of expectations in the fourth quarter, triggering a massive sell-off in the stock.

This marked the third consecutive quarter that Amazon's results were not on par with its tradition of outperformance.

While some brokerage firms downgraded the stock on the news, for the most part, analysts sentiment remains bullish, urging investors to pick up shares on the downturn.

During the quarter the e-commerce giant earned $416 million, or 91 cents a share, on revenue of $12.95 billion. Analysts were looking for a profit of 88 cents on revenue of $13.01 billion.

Margins came in at 3.7%, below Wall Street's forecast of 4.2%, as Amazon amped up its investment in its infrastructure.

  • [By Dennis Slothower]

Miller had about $270 Million of Amazon.com shares at the end of December. The stock returned 60.8% during the past 1 year, beating the SPY by a huge margin. The stock holdings were reduced by 30% during the last 3 months of 2010. AMZN returned 5% since then, 0.8 percentage points less than SPY’s return. AMZN is Miller’s best long-term pick. Facebook billionaire Chase Coleman and Roberto Mignone has large AMZN holdings as well.

  • [By James K. Glassman]

Amazon.com is an example of a company that's investing heavily to good effect. Last year, the online retailer spent $1.8 billion -- or triple its net income -- on capital expenditures. With $9.6 billion in cash and short-term investments and at least $3 billion in cash flow per year over the past three years, Amazon is not in danger of running out of money. Still, CEO Jeff Bezos is boldly spending to solidify his company's dominant position as the place to buy stuff on the Internet. The stock trades at $237.42.

  • [By Robert Holmes]

Analyst Scott Devitt says that Amazon is the best positioned to lead the continuing secular transition from traditional retail to online ecommerce.

"On multiple occasions, at different points in the company's life-cycle, Amazon.com has chosen to innovate, oftentimes cannibalizing existing business platforms in order to better position itself to provide its customers the products they will want," Devitt writes.

Devitt's most optimistic view of Amazon would see shares rise 71% by the end of 2012, while his bearish scenario for the Internet retailer would see shares fall about 21% over the next 12 months.
