AOL Reportedly To Hire Hundreds Of Journalists In Content Push

AOL (AOL) plans to hire hundreds of more journalists in the coming year as it builds out its content business, Ad Age reports.

David Eun, who runs the company’s media and studios division, is holding an all-hands meeting in New York today to lay out his strategy for the unit, which reportedly will include groups all of the company’s sites into 17 “super networks.”

AOL already has about 500 full-time editorial employees; Eun says the number could double in the coming year, and contends AOL will be “the largest net hirer of journalists in the world.”
